Song information

“Let It Be” is the last album by The Beatles, released soon before before their break-up. The title track was written and sung by Paul McCartney and, when released as single, reached top positions on Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles chart. It is often hypothesized that the song refers to the Annunciation of Virgin Mary (“And Mary said, »Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.« [...]”- Luke 1:38), but McCarney later explained that “mother Mary” was intended as a reference to his own mother (who, indeed, was named Mary). Our version of the song is slightly shortened compared to the original - we believe that the organ solo, despite being a hallmark of the song, might be a little boring for the singers. Our sheet music, however, features all three verses and a piano solo.
